Saturday 15 March 2025 9.12am
2024 was an busy year for Herefordshire Council’s Greener Footprints initiative and the Herefordshire Climate and Nature Parnership Board, who regularly contribute their time and expertise. A full summary of engagements has now been publicised. The year kicked off with the publishing of the boards priority actions and a webinar to introduce them, delivered in partnership with the Herefordshire Green Network.
Throughout the year, events and webinars were hosted to connect with businesses, engage with farmers, and support residents in their sustainability journey. New engagement formats with students were explored, to allow young people to contribute their voice to sustainability conversations, including during a COP-style conference that saw students from secondary schools around the county take on the role of world leaders.
Looking to the future, the HCNP board will continue to work on progressing their priority actions throughout 2025. Herefordshire Council, through the Greener Footprints initiative, are already planning a series of events for businesses and other stakeholders, including the Climate and Nature Networking event planned for May 2025. The event will focus on Herefordshire’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy, Energy (including Renewables Mapping) and Carbon Budgets.
The Greener Footprints initiative continues to engage residents through it’s social media channels and email newsletters – you can follow and sign up to receive updates on our 'About' page.
